When selecting pipe supports and hangers, suitable supports and hangers should be selected according to the load size and direction of the supporting point, the displacement of the pipeline, the working temperature, whether heat preservation or cold preservation, and the material of the pipeline.

When designing pipe supports and hangers, standard pipe clip, pipe support and pipe hanger should be selected as much as possible.

The welded pipe holder and pipe hanger are more steel-saving than the clamp-type pipe holder and pipe hanger, and are simple to manufacture and convenient to construct. Therefore, in addition to the following circumstances, should try to choose the welding type of pipe support and pipe hanging:

① Carbon steel pipe with medium temperature equal to or greater than 400 ℃;

② Low temperature pipeline;

③ Pipe made of alloy steel;

④ Pipelines that need to be disassembled and overhauled frequently in production;

⑤ Palace roads laid overhead and difficult to be welded;

⑥ Non-metallic lined pipes.

In order to prevent excessive lateral displacement of the pipeline and possible impact load, guide pipe supports should be set at the following positions to ensure that the pipeline is only displaced along the axial direction:

① High-speed vent pipe at the outlet of the safety valve and two-phase flow pipe that may produce vibration

② When the lateral displacement of the pipe is so large that it may affect the adjacent pipeline:

③ When the distance between the fixed brackets is too long, lateral instability may occur:

④ In order to prevent the leakage of flange and union, the pipeline shall not have excessive lateral displacement.

When the thermal expansion of the overhead pipe exceeds 100mm, the extended pipe support should be selected to prevent the pipe support from sliding under the pipe frame beam.

When the bracket is rooted on the equipment requiring overall heat treatment, the requirements for the backing plate used shall be put forward to the equipment discipline in advance, and the welding shall be completed before heat treatment.

For the position of the support with large load, contact the relevant professional designer in advance, and propose the position, elevation and load of the support.

When it is necessary to limit the displacement of the pipeline, a limit frame should be considered.
